Justin Aerni) book is one of art, gore, filth, and deeply dark humor. He paints the story of an unsuspecting character who dies and journeys through the mythological realm of hell. Aerni masterfully allows the reader to select the path, they choose how the character will make his way through hell. Along the way Aerni's scene are compatible to the chaos of Hieronymus Bosch's painting "Last Judgement" and the third panel of "The Garden of Earthly Delights". What struck me was the genius of the work. Aerni seems to understand his reader, or at least me, to know how I would choose to read the book, to make my way to the last page. In the end you read the whole book to see how many ways you could possibly end the story. The ending of the book is one you never see coming. Read this book. The author tells us a take ultimate desire , utter despair and demonic sexiness where the reader is responsible for the choices the protagonist makes. Remember those choose your own adventure books when you were younger.... This adult version will have you hooked! It's never predictable and always mind blowingly brilliant!! If that weren't enough - the art inside contributes to the storytelling , and is just brilliant! It turns the authors original art into part of the story - a truly amazing concept Safari from the Underworld is not just your everyday read... It's art combined with words , it's truly an epic experience to read and I absolutely loved every moment reading it!!
