Bought this and several other signed Carroll books in a used bookstore in London in the late 1990s. For a long time, he was a favorite author of mine, so my collection is extensive. Carroll's imagination is boundless and he marries it to a prose style that is unusually fine in the fantasy genre. This book, like most of his others is compelling, literary, slyly humorous, and utterly fantastic! Not my favorite Carroll book, that would be Outside the Dog Museum or Glass Soup, maybe, but an absolutely great read!
