Description: A very rare opportunity to own a vinyl copy of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ hand signed by engineer / producer Jack Douglas and the late drummer Alan White. Jack Douglas is an American record producer. He is known for his work with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Cheap Trick, and the New York Dolls, among other rock artists in the 1970s and 1980s; notably he produced four successful albums for Aerosmith. Douglas engineered and produced many of Aerosmith's albums in the 1970s, including Get Your Wings (1974) Toys in the Attic (1975) Rocks (1976) and Draw the Line (1977) all of which have gone multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks broke Aerosmith into the mainstream and have become highly influential, with both albums ranking among Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 1980, Douglas was working as producer with John Lennon and Yoko Ono on their Double Fantasy album (for which he shared a Grammy Award for Album of the Year). During the same sessions he worked on a follow-up Lennon/Ono album, Milk and Honey. Sleeve is in good condition with some creasing and edge wear. The inner sleeve also has some pen markings (see pics) Although untested the vinyl does have some light surface marks which may or may not affect play. As I can’t guarantee good playability you may wish to primarily consider this as an autographed item. Great piece signed by the legendary engineer / producer and the late drummer Alan White.
