Description: This is a fun original find! It is a 1946 personalized painting or illustration by famed childrens book illustrator Simon (Si) Frankel (aka Simon Frankel). It is a little Mexican Boy being greeted by a Girl and he has a little Skunk hidden in his sombrero! Overall in VG-EX shape and would look great properly framed. Si is well known especially for the books Digger Dan and Wizard of Oz book illustrations from the 1950s. This painting is actually dated 1946 which you can see under the matte. It was matted with and signed with the inscription "To Phil, With Sincere Regards, Si Frankel". The painting itself is on 13.5" x 10.75" paper. The image itself is approx 10" x 8". Some fading/discoloration to the paper from age. Taped to a black backing cardboard and matte with signature is loose.
