Description: SHREVEPORT LOUISIANA PARACHUTE JUMPING BARKSDALE FIELD LINEN POSTCARD Military Air Force Global Strike Command Vintage, linen, standard size postcard of a paratroopers over Barksdale Field located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Barksdale Field was constructed in the early 1930's and the name was changed to Barksdale Air Force Base in 1948. This postcard is estimated to be from 1933-1948. It is unposted, but there is some writing on the back, penned by someone at the Base documenting their journey. The postcard has a crease on the left side, about an eighth of an inch from the edge. This is not visible in the pictures. There is also yellowing of the card which is consistent with the condition of a pre-owned card of this age.
