Is the book a proof or simply corrected for the owner's personal edification? We don't know. 2) 1 page Typescript letter on Missouri Pacific Railway letterhead, signed by 4 colleagues, probably from the Freight Traffic Department. 3) One of Mrs. S. V. Derrah's cookbooks, heavily used with inscribed recipes at back pages. 4) Clipping containing a poem. Found laid in with the letter in an envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. S V Derrah. Frayed caps essentially perished. rubbed corners. BINDING: Light beige cloth.. PROVENANCE: Family of S. V. Derrah, Freight Agent of the Missouri Pacific Railway and storyteller/ editor in Cy Warman's book Short Rails. Newly relocated to Salt Lake City with his wife and six year old child, Los Angeles architect Robert V. Derrah (famous for the "Cross Roads of the World" building and other Art Deco landmarks). A letter of congratulations signed by Kansas City staff of the Missouri Pacific Railroad on the departure of the westward migrating Derrahs matches with the story in the Cy Warman book.
