Shirley Temple Doll 16" Ideal Toy 1972 Vintage

Description: This Ideal Company Doll of Shirley Temple, was made in 1972 and stands 16 inches. Although I found a great picture of her original box and included it for you to enjoy, I do not have it for you. I was given her when I was very young, too young to even remember, by my Grandmother. She was put away in storage and this is the first time I have ever seen here in 40 years. She is in perfect condition. Her hair is a light brown. The curls are still perfect, held in place by the original hair net. The velvet hair ribbon sits atop her head but needs to be re-tied. Her organza polka dot dress is clean and bright with no stains, runs, or discoloration. The polka dots are vibrant red and still raised and fuzzy velvet. The elastic is still perfect on her stockings. Which is super rare. If you look through all the listed dolls, you will notice the stockings look like bobby socks around her ankles. This is because the elastic has given over time. This dolls stockings are intact are the stockings stay up, as good as the day she was made. The band on her panties is loose, but they don't come down. Her little red shoes are original and unmarred. They are flat and even so she stands perfectly. Everything in this design is so dainty, iis so fun and cheerful. She was wrapped in fabric for years. I think that is why the elastic survived. She really is a special doll.
