Description: Up for sale are the first 6 issues in the series Shadowpact (2006) Issues #1-6. The Shadowpact is a superhero group of magic-based characters who fought against the Spectre in the 2005 limited series Day of Vengeance, published by DC Comics. They are a sort of Justice League for the supernatural elements of the DC Universe. The group is founded by Enchantress, Ragman, and Detective Chimp to get rid of the Spectre because of his decision to destroy all magic in the universe. They are joined by Blue Devil, Nightshade, and Nightmaster, and Zauriel, the former JLA member angel. In 2006, DC decided to give them their own series. It ran for 25 issues. As stated above, this listing is for Shadowpact (2006) Issues #1-6. Highlights include: Issue #1, published in July 2006, was written by Bill Willingham (Fables), with art and cover by Willingham. A new series featuring mismatched magical heroes (Nightmaster, Ragman, Nightshade, Blue Devil, Enchantress and Detective Chimp). Plus, a guest appearances by Superman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and the Phantom Stranger! Issue #2 sees an entire town held hostage, and no conventional heroes can rescue them...it's up to the Shadowpact! Issue #3 has the showdown between the Shadowpact and the evil super group, the Pentacle! Issue #4 has a cover by Steve Scott. A special issue spotlighting a night in the life of Blue Devil! Issue #5 features all sorts of monsters and magic-based villains popping out of the woodwork to kill the Shadowpact! In Issue #6, the Shadowpact confronts an arcane menace that has reduced their number right from the start! Say goodbye to Ragman and the Enchantress ! These books come bagged and boarded, and I would put them all in the Very Fine to Near Mint range. I have tried to accurately grade these books, but grading is subjective, and only my opinion.
