SHADOWLINE Peignoir Robe, Nightgown, NOS W/Tags, Pink Chiffon, VTG 80's Fit S/M

Description: Shadowline peignoir set that is NOS with Tags, mint condition. This set includes a floor length night gown and robe in a seductive light pink with a sheer double chiffon nylon robe and a double nylon night gown with embroidery detail and pink satin fabric in bust size 36 inches from vintage 80s. These are unworn. This was worn for the photo shoot only, and comes to you in MINT condition. These were sales samples and were show to customers to see quality and workmanship before they purchased. The salesman would have brought these pieces to show the quality and style for customers like big box stores to purchase for sale in their stores. The night gown and robe peignoir was style 8124 and came pink, blue and mint. This is the pink, which is a light pink. The night gown has no tag, but the robe has the tag on it, showing this retailed for $44 for the set in 1980. The minimum wage in 1980 was $3.10 per hour - so this would have cost the equivalent of over 14 hours work of work hours - or about $140 today. This set was made in Morganton, North Carolina - made in the USA. This night gown has a sleeveless design with pink satin ribbon detail with floral embroidery at neckline. The embroidery is darker pink, light pink and green. This has a V neckline and a long pink satin bow at center of bodice area. This night gown is a double nylon. The top layer is a sheer chiffon layer of nylon and the under layer is a thicker pink nylon fabric. The entire gown is a double nylon. There is 1 inch of pink lace at hemline of gown. The night gown has a fitted bodice area - that is somewhat gathered under the bodice area. If this fits you in the bodice and under bodice - the rest of the night gown has a more relaxed and easy fit style - while still staying very seductive. The matching peignoir robe has a full angel style sleeve detail - very typical of the late 70s and early 80s. The robe has a V neckline and the collar is made of a pink satin fabric. There is embroidery detail on one of the collars and there is a snap closure under the bodice. This has a long pink satin self tie with belt loops to help keep this in place. The entire robe is double chiffon nylon and is very sheer. The robe has a very full sweep of over 100 inches. This peignoir set is floor length. The tags on this say small - but this will easily fit a medium as this is a full and generous cut. See below for measurements. This has an easy fit A line style that is comfortable yet extremely flattering. If this fits in bodice and under bodice, this should fit you as the waist and hip area are very free flowing. This has the vintage Black and White Pendant style Shadowline tags Black and White Shadowline tags (pendant style logo) Shows S for small (but will fit other sizes as is full cut) All Nylon This can be machine washed and dried. This is MINT condition and has never been worn. If this were my vintage piece I would hand wash and hand this to dry - but does say this is machine washable. If you are going to wash, wash on delicate and please with these vintage pieces - hang them to dry to make sure these will be around for another 50 years. This is one of the most lovely, feminine and gorgeous peignoir sets I have seen! This peignoir set is very feminine yet very comfortable. The weight of this fabric is not the cheap fabric used today - this piece has body and substance - yet is so stunning. CONDITION: This piece is unworn and comes to you in MINT, unworn condition. I have bought this and many other pieces that were sales samples that are in unworn MINT condition. Please save me to your favorites if you like this and want to see other Shadowline NOS pieces.
