SGC 7 - 1959 Topps # 51 Sam Huff RC New York Giants HOF (PLEASE READ)

Description: An SGC graded NM 7 – 1959 Topps rookie card of Hall of Famer Sam Huff of the New York Giants. This example has no creasing, nice color, good focus, bold printing, excellent centering and bright borders. The corners are consistent with those found on most NM-MT/NM-MT+ examples. There is an indentation on the left edge (approx. 1/4" long) that is located below the upper left corner. It can be easily seen when the card is tilted to the light, but it is not visible on the back of the card. On the back of the card, the "Magic Answer" area has not been rubbed, but there are some spots of light toning in a few places. Otherwise, the back is clean with bold printing. Without the indentation, this card would be a strong candidate for an SGC 8 holder. With the indentation, we were expecting the card to receive an SGC 6 or maybe a 6.5 grade, but SGC graded it slightly higher than we thought they would. It is still a nice looking card, just slightly over-graded in our opinion. We have priced it at what we would normally sell an SGC 6 example for.
