Sex Pistols, Lesser Trade Hall, Manchester, Friday 4th June 1976 fine art ticket stub, printed on 260gsm satin paper using lifelong UV stable inks. The Sex Pistols, Manchester, 4 June 1976: a gig that inspired a generation to make their own music, and arguably changed the world forever. Such was the power of punk. It was recently voted one of the most important concerts of all time, alongside Woodstock and Live Aid. Only a handful of people were actually at the gig at the city's Lesser Free Trade Hall but thousands have since claimed: 'I was there’. We love the fact that in a haste to get these tickets printed and sold. The venue printed the year as I076 when it should have read 1976. The paper size is A4 with a 15mm border and a 3mm bleed, ready to go into frame (the frame is not included). These artworks are originally hand painted with the use of acrylic paints and stencil for parts. Tickets have been painted using the original ticket stubs from back in the day. Once finished, the painted ticket was professionally scanned and the prints are reproduced from the original. A drop shadow is placed post scanning to make the ticket stub stand out from the paper ensuring the highest quality and finish.
