One of Morrison's series, FRANKENSTEIN, features the titular character and his BRIDE, both unique Morrison creations that draw from the open-source monsters of literary legend. Interestingly, both Frankenstein and The Bride were incorporated into DC's line-wide relaunch in 2011, DC The New 52, and even starred in their own ongoing if not relatively short-lived series, Frankenstein and The Agents of SHADE. Frankenstein also became a DC Action Figure in 2022 as part of McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse line of toys. Gunn's Creature Commandos will effectively assume the role that the organization SHADE had in The New 52, with Frankenstein and The Bride serving as field leaders of the Commandos when the series debuts on HBO Max in late-2024.
