Most pieces are signed, but signature is illegible.Beautiful traditional Japanese Raku style with clear crackle glaze and unglazed dark charcoal gray areas with modern accents, including unique bamboo accents.Pieces includeTwo plates (6.5" x 7") with one edge rough unglazed.Two large platters (about 7.5" x 13", one slightly larger than the other) with bamboo accent edge.One bowl (6.75" diameter and 3" tall) with unglazed decorative accent and twine and bamboo accentsOne small platter (4.75" x 11.25") with unglazed geometric pattern accents.Two square cups (1.75" x 1.75" x 2.25" tall). Footed with clear crackle glaze throughout.All of the flat pieces (platters and plates) are footed with wood bars glued to the underside.Nearly all the pieces are signed by the same artist (2 cups and 1 plate are unsigned). Unfortunately, I cannot identify the artist signature.A previous owner said that these pieces were acquired at and American Craft Council (ACC) craft show. I cannot confirm this, nor the age of the pieces.The combination of traditional clear crackle Raku glaze over dark gray clay with modern accents is very beautiful. The pieces make excellent display, placing other decorative pottery or glass on top of the plates and platters. They could also be used for serving sushi and rice, etc.
