Set of 6 Antique European Porcelain Cups & Saucers-Angled Ribbing & Floral Decor

Description: Set of 6 antique European porcelain cups and saucers. There are no maker marks on either the cups or the saucers. The cups have thin porcelain sides, gold decorated angled handles, gold decorated outer top edges, a square top with angled corners, a square base with angled corners and angled sides with angled wave ribbing. Each cup has a hand painted floral décor on two of the cup’s sides. The outside of each of the cup’s angled corners has a raised pattern decorated with gold that extends in a swirl to the cups base. The saucers are square with rounded corners, have angled wavy ribbing, have a sprinkled gold décor along the inside edge of each saucer and a gold line around the square central portion of each saucer designed for holding the cup (some of the sprinkled and lined gold décor has been worn away) and the same raised swirl pattern on each corner of the saucer that is found on the cup’s angled corners. Except for a very fine crack on the top corner of one cup that is about ½” long and a small chip on the inside wall of the same cup and a small spot of rough material on the bottom edge of the base of another cup that sits on top of the porcelain on its bottom edge (not caused by a chip), the cups and saucers are in excellent condition without any further damage. There are a few tiny dark spots on the inside of some of the cups and on some of the saucers, which I believe are caused by impurities in the porcelain (they are not chips). One cup has a more pronounced dark spot on the inside edge of its base, which is caused by discoloration having settled into a small indentation in the porcelain that occurred during the production process (manufacturing defect--definitely not a chip). The top of each cup is 3½” x 3½”, each cup’s base is 1½” x 1½” and each cup is 1 7/8” high. Each saucer measures 5” x 5”.
