Description: Beautiful set of 4 antique oyster plates from Germany with and and gold gilt trim and accents. The plates have 5 wells with a pie crimp edge and measure 8.5" across. There are 12 plates available in total, all are in good condition with no chips or crack, there is some gilt loss (see pictures). The back of the plates are empresssed with the word Registrirt. This not a typographical error, but the older form of the German word registriert which means "registered". This early form of copyright showed the item was registered under a local authority and generally used in the late 1800s. Feel free to ask questions!
