On the base of each piece is the handwritten attribution "Grazia - Deruta. Made in Italy”. Grazia has been producing majolica wares in Deruta since around 1500 and is world renowned for its high quality ceramics. Design: The bright yellow trimmed and scalloped set features a lovely display of stylized flowers, rich in the traditional colors of the Umbria region. Size: The cups are 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/8 inches tall. The saucers are 6 inches wide. The set weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces. Condition: It's in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, stains or discoloration. Each piece has several faint grey utensil marks. The set has the tiny inconsistencies and pinpoint marks that are typical of handmade Deruta ceramics and part of their charm.
