Description: These are truly exquisite, Mid Century from the 60's and were considered 'very modern' for the time. My Parents had the Original Oval type Mushroom Lamps, one desktop and one standing, they learned quickly the standing ones were top heavy and not safe around children. So these Acorn Mushroom table lamps were placed in a room considered my Fathers 'Study', which basically just meant us kids were never allowed to go in there LOL. I had these passed down to me, but they have been sitting in wood crates because I fear anything happening to them. I couldn't bare thinking I let them get damaged in any way. Set of 2 in a Yellow Gold Color, the bases are made of steel and the shades are Blown Glass in Frosted White. These work perfectly, probably because they were rarely used. If I'm not mistaken, these were used with 3 way bulbs back in the 60s. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. I can also combine orders to try and reduce shipping costs. These are very heavy and the glass is very thick. They will be padded inside a box which will be placed inside of a larger padded box.
