Description: A very desirable Seiko Grand Quartz 9943-8020 men's gold capped watch, with a stunning gold nugget textured dial.This beautiful watch has minor marking to the 80 micron HGP gold capping, on the case each side of the crown, but otherwise the HGP is intact, with no peeling and is very well presented. The photos may suggest there is wear to the edges of the case, but this is not so.According to the Seiko dealer's catalogue in 1979, the retail price of this timepiece was 150,000 yen. That was a lot of money for a watch then, you could have bought a car for the same money.With a HSS case (hardened stainless steel), the external focus goes to the dial. It has a beautiful gold nugget dial, impeccably furnished with applied straight raised gold baton indices and slender, elegant gold baton hands. The clearlex sapphire crystal is unblemished.Powered by a twin quartz movement, the 9943 is rated +/-10 seconds per year accuracy.
