The S80 is widely regarded as one of the best all-around mouthpieces for intermediate to advanced level players. This piece is ideally suited for all varieties of 'legit' music, such as concert/symphonic band, orchestra, sax quartet/chamber ensemble, and solo classical performance. It will also work for jazz and contemporary styles in a pinch. The C** facing is more open at the tip than a typical stock/student level mouthpiece, but not so open as to be difficult to control. This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There is no scratching on the exterior. The rubber is slightly faded but the logo/markings are clear. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. It comes in its original box with its original velvet carrying pouch. The box has exterior wear where labels were removed. The pouch is in great shape. These sell for around $160 for a brand new one on ebay, and the cost at a brick and mortar music store is much higher.
