This stunning example is titled "Pegasus" and was produced in a limited edition of 350 in 1983. Veils of opaque purple and white form bold wings which radiate within the solid clear glass orb creating a wonderfully dynamic abstract design. The solid glass orb acts as a lens spectacularly magnifying and distorting the light to produce striking optical effects. SIZE: This impressive paperweight stands approx 75mms tall and measures 80mms in diameter. WEIGHT: This piece weighs 575 grams. CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This stunning example has been very well cared for and presents magnificently. MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed, titled, numbered and dated to the base with an inscribed mark reading "Selkirk Glass - Scotland 1983 - Pegasus 199/350". The remnants of the original Selkirk label also remain in place to the quality flat ground polished base.
