Description: Murano Seguso (Viro) MCM Ribs Gold Art Glass Decanter Bottle Vase Label 10"h This is a gorgeous decanter type bottle that may have had a glass ball on top since the mouth doesn't hold stoppers snugly; too rounded. A fine mono-fiori vase design too! Can't find one similar though antique gold work and look of the piece strongly reminds us of a Seguso Viro piece we have listed elsewhere, only more so. (item#144918283254) The body design is one used by Poli, but not this unique gold technique, as far as our research goes. The mouth has a ring of color slightly lighter than the base and clear.Piece is 10"h; the translucent base is applied, in a mauve-ish amber color with darker mauve specks aswirl. It is 3.5" across.Fine scalloped treatment where the base and the vase are attached. Almost a pale scavo technique on the body loaded with gold specks. There are 16 pulled ribs (not attached). Two of the ridges between the ribs contain fragmented gold leaf pieces. Looks like the body is golden colored; may be clear colored by all the gold. There is a small version scalloped foil label in red used by Seguso during the last quarter of the 20thc.No damage or issues noted. Probably from the '70s. Superb! Sale! Ships UPS to the USA and to eBay's eIS center to ship abroad.
