Her constant companion and best friend is Molly May, her little dog. The Search for Seven Treasures begins one morning with Sunflower and Molly May visiting Granny Maybelle at her cabin. They do not know it, but their grandmother has planned a surprise for them that turns into a fun and learning adventure. Sunflower and Molly May are sent into the surrounding meadows and woods to search for natural treasures. Along the way Sunflower will witness several funny escapades involving Molly May. Molly is not sure what they are doing, but she knows that she loves being outdoors and spending time with her best friend, Sunflower. What Sunflower and Molly May will learn from this adventure is how Mother Earth supplied their Native American ancestors with natural treasures and how we still use these treasures today. The book is a fun filled learning adventure with an Activity Page at the end so the reader may experience their own treasure hunt.
