Most suburbans of this era are 5 speed, and they can be converted to 10 speeds with a little work, but this is originally a 5 speed, all schwinn era parts, probably came from schwinn dealer like this i would estimate. Back then they had 'tourist' and 'sport' versions of many similar bikes. Some scratches, minor scuffs do exist, some very minor surface rust also exists Overall appearance very nice lusterous. Structure sound. Well made in USA durable frame. I have rebuilt about 10 of this same model, very sturdy bike! SPECIAL NOTE: This has Shimano free bottom bracket ( they call it FFS ?) system, with Positron shifting! Quite healthy, and you can actually maintain this system of Bottom Bracket quite well. It opens up and rebuilds with very good results! But a bit unusual as it was only done for maybe a decade between 70s and 80s.in mostly some Japanese/Korean bikes in my experience. This system allows you to shift while rear wheel moves, independent of cranks. This means you could shift while WALKING your bike!! or while coasting/not pedaling.
