Description: Schuco Flic 4520 Windup Traffic Policeman West German. 1950s. Tinplate. Toy is marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s with underside stock often continuing into the 1950s. Marked on box key, and underside of base. Marked, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany", on underside of base. Toy: 5" x 2.5" x 2.5". Box: 2.75" x 5.5" x 3". Condition - Toy and original box are in excellent condition. Original key. Clockwork wind-up tested and working (arm moves, lights change).
