Heavier shipments (over 20 pounds), like small transformers, electromotors and hydraulic valves are typically placed on wooden base plates inside a heavy duty cardboard box with wooden runners on the outside of the box. Heavier items (over 100 pounds) generally will get strapped onto a wooden pallet and shrink wrapped. Full wooden crates as well packing for international sea freight with moisture absorbent film and ISPM15 certified wood can be provided at a surcharge.
