It is a base brass material & then plated to a bright finish. The outside diameter is 2-1/2". I have other posts for other finishes. What is the ring used for? It is most commonly used to reduce a 2-1/8" deadbolt hole down to a 1-1/2" hole. Alternately it can be used to hide/cover marks around a deadbolt. They could also be used for anything you can imagine. Wind chimes, target practice, wheels on a car... These are sold as is. Some are new, some are used. Some may be weathered. There may be a small amount of paint. If you have a preference on what you are looking for please let me know when you purchase so I can hand sort what you are looking for.
