Description: Scarce English Pattern 1907 Rifle Bayonet measuring 21.5" overall with a blade length of 16.5". Blade shows an old sharpening on edge, bluing still remaining in protected areas, (fuller, ricasso areas). Excellent working press-stud locking mechanism. Ricasso markings show Crown over "E" in 3 spots. E standing for Enfield Factory Arsenal. This also has Australian markings on the Guard and on the Pommel. "D^D" and "D" with a forward arrown inside the D. Both stand for Department of Defense Australia. The guard has a "2" also underneath the arrow. The other side of the ricasso area is marked with Typical Crown over 1907 with a Date of January1918. Below that is makers Name, "CHAPMAN". See photos for further details.
