Description: A superb antique figurine of a dog in a seated pose with front leg raised. This piece displays a wonderfully shaggy coat, short tail and prick ears, wearing a collar around the neck with elaborate hangtag (see photo), in an alert pose. The eyes are glass. This is a bisque (matte) finish, with beautiful color shading in the coat, giving a soft and realistic appearance. Marked on the underside with impressed numbers 2119 and an incised initial T. This is a large figurine, measuring 10 1/4" tall by 8 3/4" long, with undeniable quality and age. No chips, repairs or restorations. Insignificant factory production/firing imperfections.
