Description: This scarce 1920s Swiss “Turmac Hassan” litho hinged 100 cigarette tin, measuring 4 1/2” x 5 1/2” x 1 3/4”, is in good condition with no rust, a few small pinpoint dents on the bottom, a crease on the lid and some very minor age related paint scratches and chips. The original high gloss finish remains. The hinge is in excellent condition. This highly attractive ivory and brown tin with red lettering features intricate geometric designs. The cigarettes were manufactured by the Turkish Macedonian Tobacco Company, Zurich, Switzerland. The company’s trademark is on the inside of the lid.
