Description: This scarce 1910s "Red Cross" litho/ paper face 25 cigar tin, measuring 5" x 3 1/2" is in good condition with some very superficial rust on the bottom interior, a small dent on the lid and some minor age related paints scratches. The paper face has some tiny stains, There is small piece of tax stamp. This attractive green, gold and red tin features a striking portrait of a woman wearing a golden head scarf and crown positioned in the center of a red cross. The remainder of the tin is decorated with green and gold swirls and gold medallions with different images inside. The tobacco was manufactured in Factory 171, 10th District, OH. Parts of the tin may have been varnished.
