Description: This scarce 1900s “Richard Mansfield" litho 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/4” x 5 3/4" is in near mint condition with no dents or rust and a couple of tiny age related paint chips. The original high gloss finish remains. This spectacular brown faux wood tin was made by the Liberty Can Company, Lancaster, PA. It features a detailed portrait of Richard Mansfield (1857-1907) the famed British Shakespearean actor who was also known for his dual role as Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The cigars were manufactured in 928, 1st District. PA. This extraordinary tin rarely comes up for sale.
