Description: Ozzie Sweet was one of America's greatest photographers. His photos graced the covers of over 1,700 magazines during his illustrious career. Many of his photos were highlighted in Sport Magazine in the 1950's and 1960's. Two things differentiated Ozzie from other photographers of his time; 1) He used a 70mm camera. Not 35mm like most photographers. That gave him incredible resolution and 2) He staged virtually every photo that he took (i.e. he did not take action photos). This is a lot of eight (8) color transparancies of Dodger superstar Sandy Koufax that were taken in 1964. The transparancies are now over fifty (50) years old so the blue sky has turned pinkish. These transparancies can be scanned and color corrected to produce spectacular color images of Sandy Koufax. There are four different poses. As mentioned earlier, Ozzie staged his photos. He loved a blue-sky background on his subjects so he had a unique trick to achieve that. He set up two sawhorses with planks of wood going across them. He then put a few buckets of sand on those planks and had Koufax climb up on the makeshift platform for these photos. These images were originally auctioned by Sotheby's in 2001 along with hundreds of other Ozzie Sweet transparancies. IMPORTANT: THE COPYRIGHTS TO THE IMAGES ARE INCLUDED!!! An Ozzie Sweet signed transfer of copyright will be included with these images. So, here's your chance to own several iconic poses, along with the copyrights, of the legendary Sandy Koufax.
