This poster is from a Paramount re-release of the film in 1959. Three years after the release of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, DeMille would have Paramount re-release this sultry epic from 1949. The film stars Victor Mature as the biblical strongman and Hedy Lamarr as the seductress who would bring down house around them. This was one of the last lush epics before the advent of wide-screen and it has more of the look of the forties than later epics. Lamarr is just indescribably delicious and Mature of course is muscled up and credible. DeMille fills out the cast with the likes of John Miljan, Mike Mazurki, Angela Lansbury, Henry Wilcoxon and Faye Holden. A melodic score by Victor Young, and that big bright Technicolor. This poster is quite large. Six sheets are large format poster which were comprised of four panels. These panels were joined together to present as one poster. We have graded this one in average used condition. It was used in a theater and has been folded for many years. Colors are bright and the paper is not brittle, but it has some defects and should be regarded as in average used condition.
