Description: Rare Sampson And Morden Cockerel Book Mark. This piece was made by one of the best known and finest silver smiths in England, Sampson and Morden. The book mark was sold by Asprey London, a name synonymous with class and style. The book mark features a cockerel on the top, with christmas 1930 underneath. At the bottom there is a full set of London silver assay marks SM&Co, date mark P. There is also a very small mark underneath, this is a French assay mark for imported silver. The condition is excelent for the age; with some marks and patina, mainly on the back. The book mark is a rare find, and one which would make a very special gift. This piece is 9.5x2cm 3.74x0.78" approximately. This piece will be sent special delivery in the UK. Overseas postage will be via global shipping. This item will need to be signed for.
