Rockefeller began the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg a reproduction program was started. In 1938 a potter began recreating salt-glazed pottery for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. That business was the beginning of the famed Williamsburg Pottery that along with reproducing colonial-era pottery became a discount retailer of epic proportions. The candle holders are in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Measurements: Approximate Width 5.75 in / 15 cm Height 3.5 in / 9 cm NOTE: Preowned items, by nature, are likely to carry various marks or indications of their age.
