This is the rare Dash Ninety-Nine Model NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE ARMSHELL ONLY (no base, no screws) Dubbed the Dash Ninety-Nine (see photos, including the write-up from the Eames Office), this chair exhibits all finishes of Eames chairs: fiberglass molded armshell with hybrid Alexander Girard naugahyde and fabric upholstery. This chair features the unique hybrid Alexander Girard naugahyde (back and arms) and Girard fabric upholstery (seating area) over fiberglass molded greige armshell. The orange is darker than the regular brighter orange; it's like a red orange or a coral orange depending on lighting (see this naugahyde juxtaposed with another orange naugahyde chair we have to see the difference in shade). The original Herman Miller inspection sticker is still intact. Quality control was paramount at Herman Miller, and each chair was meticulously inspected by employees, who each affixed their "inspected by" sticker onto the chair. This also has the relatively rare orange rubber piping to match the naugahyde and fabric upholstery. Another unique feature of this chair. "Herman Miller" logo embossed on the bottom along with the Herman Miller patent label. Overall good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, such as slight lifting along the back seating area, fabric stains, surface scratches and soiling, and edge wear, shock mount impressions (which are expected to go away in time with use), all of which are depicted.
