Description: Rare and magnificent Ruscha Kermik Huge Wall Plaque from Bauhaus Series. Stunning bright blues/greens with natural tans/browns. Made by Ruscha manufacturing in Rheinback Germany. Plaque measures approximately 15 3/8" long and 6 3/4" wide. It is very heavy and hangs by very strong iron chains (blackened). Circa 1960's-1970's Pop/Modernist design. Looks to be like it is chamotte clay (but I'm not sure) see photo of back of plaque. Still retains original Keramik label on back. No chips/cracks. there may be a few flea bite nicks on the backside edges, but it is hard to tell if it is a manufacturing anomaly. Any anomalies/glaze skips/firing technique flaws are all due to the hand made nature of this item. This is the 4th plaque of this series in this collection (2 have sold). See all photos as they are also part of the description. From a legacy collection in N. CA. Item from a non-smoking/pet-free environment. Payment due within 2 days of purchase.
