Item description:Delightful small sculpture, figurine in vitrified polychrome porcelain entirely decorated by hand, depicting a red-crested cockatoo parrot, signed under the base in blue under glaze by one of the brands of the Rudolstadt manufacture. Made in Germany and dating back to the first decades of the 20th century.Useful information for the evaluation of the object:In the photos just below this description we have placed a pair of Meissen parrots, but very similar in artistic quality, larger, offered at over 5700 euros on 1stdibs and the same ones offered separately on ebay at almost €1500 each. Notice the great resemblance to the one on the right in the pair. It really seems to have been made by the same artist once for Meissen, in a larger version, and then for Rudolstadt, a slightly less important manufacture than Meissen, but still quite valid and German like Meissen.
