Description: Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam English By Edward Fitzgerald Drawings Elihu Vedder 1894. In very good condition to excellent condition, especially when you consider this book is 129 years old. It’s been in our family forever, my Great Grandfather had it originally, not sure where he got it from. He knew how much of a book lover I was, so he gave it to me many many years ago. It has been treasured, but now time to find a new loving home. It has some bumped corners, see pictures. Book is completely intact. Beautifully gilded page edges on the top head of the book. One very minor page tear at the bottom last page. See picture, and 3 pages in., once again see pictures. The opening page is loose at the very top, but fully intact. There is an inscription on that page, which says “To Kate, with love and appreciation. J.R.C. The amazing thing about this book is that each page is connected at the front and folded over and making two pages. I just found out the technical term for this is French Fold. Very intricate! A real treasure to behold. The true romance of reading a book can be experienced when you open these pages.
