RS Prussia Chocolate Pot, Sunflower Mold, Twisted Handle, c. 1870

Description: Here you have a stunningly elegant RS Prussia chocolate pot. This chocolate pot is just beautiful - it features embossed sunflowers around the top (this is the sunflower mold), a fantastic twisted handle and beautiful pink and white flowers that resemble azaleas. The green and red backstamp on this pot dates it between 1870-1918! Condition: This chocolate pot is in amazingly good shape for its age. It has one manufacturing flaw on the rim - it looks like they had a tiny flea bite in the mold but glazed over it and then applied gold. So it's not a chip but a little divet in the edge - please see the last two pictures. I included one picture of the flaw and another with the flaw circled. Other than that, I'm not sure if there is wear to the gold as I'm not sure what it looked like when it was made so please look closely at all the pictures. There's definitely gold present, but it's very light. Also, there are some imperfections in the pattern as is often seen on older porcelain. You can see these flaws in the close up pictures. They don't detract from the beauty of this piece! Size: This chocolate pot is about 9.5 inches tall including the lid and has a diameter of 2.5 inches across the top. The diameter across the bottom is 3.75 inches. Shipping and Handling: Shipping will be by USPS Ground Advantage Mail. I use clean, recycled boxes. I carefully wrap any breakable items and ship all items in plenty of packing material (packing peanuts for breakable items and tissue/newspaper for unbreakable items). If you want any special packaging (for example double boxing an item or combine shipping) I am happy to do so, but please email me and let me know. I will repackage items and invoice for the item as well as any additional shipping costs based on any change in the weight of your item. I determine shipping costs based on the postage calculator tool on eBay and only round up slightly (usually less than a dollar) to cover eBay shipping fees. Thank you for looking!
