Description: ROYAL WESTERN YACHT CLUB REGATTA IN MOUNT'S BAY - ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS PRINT Framed print from Illustrated London News captioned Royal Western Yacht Club Regatta, In Mount's Bay - "The Grand Turk," And "The Lily of Devon" - Drawn by Mr N. M. Condy The back of the frame dates this to August 1947 The yacht club is based in Plymouth and the picture is depicted in Mounts Bay off the coast of Cornwall with an additional sticker on the back from The National Trust which state the print was supplied by Peninsula Prints in Plymouth Looking at the frame and with the phone number on the sticker having the old area code I'm guessing it was framed in the 80s. I would say this was a genuine print because if you shine a light on it you can just about see the print on the reverse side of the paper in column form as per a newspaper Overall size of the frame measures approx 14" x 11" Frame has a little wear but is solid and ready to hang The colouring of the print is still very strong so wouldn't appear to have been in direct sunlight previously An interesting subject and rate print to find
