The dial of this watch is extremely unique. It's engine-turned using a century-old turning lathe and is partially openworked “Grande Tapisserie” motif. The dial cut-outs provide glimpses of the two barrels (at 6 and 12 o’clock): The first reveals the power-reserve system and the second the stopwork system. The tourbillon is visible at 9 o’clock. As they rotate, the barrels display the letters of the engraving: Tradition d’Excellence No 4 edition limitee a 20 pieces and Royal Oak Tourbillon 10 jours Audemars Piguet. The 10-Day Power Reserve System features an activation of a second reserve indication for the last 24 hours (this system is mounted on a barrel located at 6 o’clock). The double barrel is equipped with a system limiting barrel revolutions to 20. This mechanism guarantees almost constant force, from the first turn of the crown and for the entire 10-day period. The two parallel-mounted barrels mesh with the pinion of the centre wheel, thus mostly compensating for the loss of force linked to the friction of the pivot in the jewel.
