The series is hand-made and hand-decorated.This jug depicts Macbeth, the main character from Shakespeare's play of the same name, thought to have first been performed in 1606. Macbeth, a Scottish General, listens to the prophecy of three witches who tell him he will become King of Scotland. He subsequently murders King Duncan and takes the throne. Afterwards, he is consumed with guilt and paranoia, commiting more murders to protect himself.The handle shows the three witches. This jug is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no visible crazing. The colors are vivid. This jug is about 6 3/8 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide.
