Description: Up for your consideration is a vintage Royal Copenhagen of Denmark fajance butter board or plaque decorated with a "crazy" bird, designed by artist Beth Breyen. The round butter board is light blue-gray with a hand painted bird in deep cobalt blue, soft green, iron red, and tan. The plaque measures 5 3/4 inches across and weighs 8 1/4 ounces. The back is marked: Royal - crown symbol - Copenhagen (with a dash under the G of Copenhagen, dating this piece to 1969-1974) - Denmark - 3 wavy lines - Fajance - 128 / 1665 - artist mark of Beth Breyen - A. The butter board or plaque is in excellent, vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are a few light scratches commensurate with the age of this piece.
