Description: This auction is for a SIGNED and Numbered Limited First Edition/First Printing of "Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, Deal - A Personal Record of These Ancient Links in Their Centenary Year" by David L. Dobby. Oblong folio, just under 12 inches x 17 inches. Printed in a limited edition of 375 copies, of which this is #46. Blue hardcover with gilt design and gilt edges (not all copies had gilt edges). All of the color illustrations appear to be signed and dated in pencil by the artist (David L. Dobby) except the final one, which was unsigned in all copies (the full map of the golf club); however, I believe those pencil signatures may be printed. This lot also includes a laid-in print, hand signed in ink by David L. Dobby (also with the likely printed pencil signature) of the 16th Hole (suitable for framing). On the Limitation Page the volume is signed by David L. Dobby, and by President Jack Aisher and Captain Robert Lark. Faults listed above, otherwise clean pages and good binding. A scarce volume.
