Description: FREE SHIPPING Rough Rider RR673, Congress Brown Gunstock Bone, 3-1/2", 4-Blade, brand NEW from Old Stock, thus the "Rider" not "Ryder". My this is a pretty knife! I call this model the "Slim Congress" because it sits on a slightly smaller frame. The minute you pick it up you feel the difference, "fragile?", no . . . "delicate?", no . . . PRECISION! Yes, it feels more like a precision instrument than a pocket knife. The smaller Coping blade would be useful for myriad office and home care tasks. It has the BEAUTIFUL checkered brown GUNSTOCK handles. This pattern is very common in higher value firearms, and is often called "diamond etching/engraving". On these knives it looks and feels exactly like that found on guns. The handles also have some minor natural color variation near the ends. The newer, larger "propeller" badge is engraved with "Rough Rider" & a mounted rider. I believe this is about the size Congress President Lincoln was carrying, see below . . . The Rough Rider Congress design . . . the knife with a famous heritage, i.e., President Lincoln was carrying a 6-blade Congress with white pearl handles when he was assassinated (see pic) and was known to perpetually carry a pocketknife. Probably no wonder he carried this particular model, often considered a knife for store clerks and office professionals, with its smaller - more utilitarian blades, especially the Coping Blade which does not appear on many models. Like its Sheepfoot cousin, of which there are two on this Congress, these blades are very useful for cutting out paper, and gaskets . . . thus many mechanics carry the Congress. Mint condition, never used, never sharpened, never carried. Match strike pulls. Slotted/grooved nickel silver bolsters. No cracks or chipped handles. Original box included. One of Rough Rider's popular folding knives to actually carry, and a personal favorite design, closed length - 3-1/2". Pictures ARE REPRESENTATIVE of the actual knife a buyer will receive, and if not, it will be clearly pointed out where and how, or refunded. Blades have a distinctive snap when closing, while lining up perfectly in their grooves; however, these are pleasantly much easier to open than most Congresses. They are extremely sharp right out of the box. Rough Rider quality rivals Case at a fraction of the price, so carry them, use them, never look back. Would make a dandy knife for an office worker, farmer, or hunter. FREE SHIPPING
