Description: Small rough gold nugget or "picker" with a few possible tiny crystals. Nugget is approx 0.3 grams and was found in a placer with a metal detector in the Sierra Mining District south of Winnemucca, Nevada (not Sierra Nevada- the Sierra Mining District, NV is in the Basin and Range ). Mounted in a acrylic box, and location label on bottom of box. The Sierra Mining district has a fairly long history ..intermittently worked from around 1870-present, but is relatively unknown outside of Nevada, and very few specimens are seen on the market from the placers in this district. An attractive nugget with a lot of character, may have some small Trigons (crystals) as seen on photo (left side under the protrusion). A great addition to your collection, or a great gift to the gold digger in your family or friends. Please note the size, it is small but showy. This is the first gold I have had for sale in many years, as I sold many Olinghouse, NV specimens 10 or 15 years ago. I will likely be listing many more gold and mineral specimens collected during my "gold trips" or exploration projects, in the future. While showing a friend, some copper and zinc minerals from the Kelly Mine in NM, he noted the age of the box, and I then realized I had not opened it in over 30 years...maybe time to start passing it on!Payment by instant payment only, buyer pays shipping. Please note if buying international, I only charge the actual shipping to the US shipping center, ebay adds the rest. 5x4x4 0.5lbs Ship by USPS, UPS, or FedEx you choose at CheckoutThanks for looking, and please see my other listings!241107-06
