Rosenthal & Coin Kronach, Bavaria, Germany. This was the first porcelain making enterprise by Philipp Rosenthalto together wth Bauer. It was established in 1897 and by 1903 Bauer left. Vase on this auction is in Art Nouveau design. It has gorgeous footed amphora shape with very wide opening. Three engraved bands separate its neck from main body. Vase is of ivory backgroud. It is decorated from two sides with pictures of beautiful large Dresden or Meissen flowers in purple and pink with details in yellow and green. Two other sides show smaller buds. Gold rim and gold band on the base complete this design. Vase is fully glazed. Looks splendid. Crown RC with two crossed swords and ‘Rosenthale Kronach Germany’ mark in green. This logo identifies production of c. 1903 - 1933. Other marking is ‘Elfenbein’ (this means ivory) written in green. There is also 3128 and 16 in gold and 'I' incised on the backside. Vase measures about 4 1/2" in its widest diameter on the top and stands 8” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear.
