Description: Early (not numbered) printing of the first book club edition, hardcover copy of Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin (Random House, 1967). First printing of this edition has a gutter code of, “18J”, this copy printed just a few months later and as has code of, “34J” near end of book. Vintage copy of this iconic horror / supernatural thriller novel, the basis for the film of the same name. Jacket is not protected in new archival sleeve but was previously heavily worn, with chipping, tears, creases and small pieces missing around the edges. Circular stain to center of front cover. Tanning around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped and top edge of spine chipped/worn. A few instances of mildly split binding but hinges are intact and spine is fairly straight. Liquid staining to top edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned.
