Description: Autographs of Ronald Reagan and Buzz Aldrin from a 1972 campaign event found recently in a frame in a storage locker. When I removed from the frame I found Buzz Aldrin’s signature on the other side of the event invitation which had been cut down to frame, and which is from a California Republican campaign event that was held October 26 1972 (see pictures). In 1972 Ronald Reagan was Governor of California and Buzz Aldrin had recently retired from the Air Force. 1972 was a Presidential campaign year and this is from an event by the Republican Volunteers of Los Angeles County held just two weeks prior to the general election. President Richard Nixon won California in the 1972 election, and the rest is history. The autographs of Ronald Reagan and Buzz Aldrin together on the same campaign event card. The second man on the moon on July 21 1969, 19 minutes after Neal Armstrong, and the man who 8 years later became our 40th President both signed together.
